Last week at the National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE) Convention, North Carolina Agricultural Education received several awards:

Tori Cardea from West Rowan was recognized as a Region V Outstanding Early Career Teacher. This award recognizes the excellence of those in the beginning of their teaching careers.

Along with Mrs. Cardea being recognized for her work, West Rowan was recognized as the Region V Outstanding Middle/High School Agricultural Education Program. This award is given to programs that showcase great success within Agricultural Education.

Lastly, the NC State Agricultural and Extension Education Program was recognized as an Outstanding Post-secondary Agriculture Program. The Outstanding Postsecondary Agriculture Program Award recognizes exemplary postsecondary institutions and full-time young farmer and adult agricultural education programs.

We are proud of these honorees and are thankful for their contributions to North Carolina Agricultural Education. Congratulations!
