Highlight of the North East Carolina Prep FFA Chapter
Author and former agriculture teacher, Eric Godwin, visited a chapter meeting virtually on zoom. During this visit, he shared with students about his book #ImpactMyLife. The chapter officer team decided to choose two activities from the book and challenge NECP FFA members to impact someone else through these challenges. One challenge was to help a neighbor with a task, while the other challenge was to paint a kindness rock and leave it around town.
During the 2020 National FFA Week, many activities are conducted for all students to participate in, not just FFA members. Some of these activities include dress up days and scavenger hunts. This year, the NECP FFA officer team wanted to focus on recruiting new members, in the moment and in the future. Posts were created for social media to get students involved in sharing and playing virtual bingo. The FFA Experience Panel Session was a public method to allow students and parents to ask questions about FFA and it's impact on students.
