Faded Blues Alumni
We are proud to feature the Faded Blues FFA Alumni chapter and recognize their hard work and service to their community!
The Faded Blues FFA Alumni is a group of individuals who are committed to furthering shared values of service, community and education. They serve students, teachers, parents, and neighbors in their community through providing a dedicated workforce at events, as well as funding for learning opportunities and operational needs. They have been a proud supporter of Granville Central FFA since 2017, and in 2019 expanded their efforts to Vance Charter’s FFA chapter in their founding year.
Abiding by the “new normal” created by the COVID-19 pandemic has been nothing but trying; however, the Faded Blues organization was determined to bring people together. They embarked on a mission of unity through positivity and gratitude to frontline workers. The alumni chapter extended this ‘thank you’ through a roadside community billboard for all to share. The “Shining Light Project” served to recognize the members of the community that keep us safe and healthy. The Faded Blues FFA Alumni also wanted to directly give back to high school FFA members beyond graduation as they continue to gain knowledge through their education. This was made possible through establishing an alumni member scholarship program, where they award an FFA Alumni member an annual educational scholarship to continue support through their collegiate years.
It is through the support of Faded Blues FFA Alumni members that they have been able to continue their mission of service through volunteerism at ACIM, a local food bank providing food, home and personal supplies to families in need. They have been able to continue monthly volunteer days in which they join ACIM ranks of volunteers to turn out daily donations for members of the community. It is also through the support of members that they were able to carry out a drive-through fundraiser this year in assistance to their local high school FFA chapters.
When asked about the impact of their FFA Alumni membership, a chapter member stated, “Through this work, we are able to be a small part of the change and support we wish to see and is our continued reason for showing up as members of The Faded Blues FFA Alumni.”
