State Convention

North Carolina FFA State Convention!

The North Carolina FFA State Convention is an annual event that gathers thousands of FFA members, advisors, and supporters to celebrate the achievements of future agricultural leaders and to inspire continued growth and learning. Below is a general summary of what typically happens at the convention:

  • Leadership and Career Development Events (LDEs/CDEs): Students participate in various LDEs and CDEs that test their skills and knowledge in specific areas of agriculture and leadership. These events might include public speaking, meat evaluation, and agronomy, among others.
  • Leadership Workshops and Sessions: Members participate in a variety of workshops and sessions designed to develop their leadership skills, deepen their knowledge of agriculture, and foster personal growth. These workshops are led by industry professionals and experienced FFA members.
  • Awards and Recognition: The convention includes ceremonies to recognize outstanding members, chapters, and advisors. Awards are given for CDE and LDE winners, degree recipients, SAE proficiency award winners, and more!

Career Show Fact Sheet

From June 24-26, 2025, over 3,500 FFA members, teachers, and guests will gather at the Raleigh Convention Center in downtown Raleigh for the 2025 North Carolina FFA State Convention. This annual event brings together
students from across the state to compete in career development events, attend leadership sessions, and participate in personal growth workshops. A key highlight of the convention is the North Carolina FFA Agricultural Career Show & Expo.
