The F.T. (Tom) Willey SLC Scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving FFA member to attend the official North Carolina FFA State Leadership Conference at the North Carolina FFA Center. This needs-based scholarship will cover the cost of registration ($225) and a $50 store credit to purchase drinks, snacks. etc.. In order to receive this scholarship the recipient must meet the following qualifications:
In order for a student to be considered for this scholarship, a 1-page nomination letter from their FFA advisor must be received by the North Carolina FFA Association no later than April 7, 2025. This confidential letter (not to be shared with the student) is to be written by the FFA advisor and must show why the student is deserving of the F.T. Willey scholarship, attest they have received their FFA Greenhand degree, and that they are financially unable to attend without this scholarship. The letter should also provide evidence that the nominated FFA member is showing potential as a future leader in their FFA chapter.
Only one nomination per FFA chapter will be accepted. Applications should be sent as one PDF to Shelby Robertson.
