National Chapter Award Program
The National Chapter Award program is designed to award FFA chapters that actively implement the mission and strategies of the organization. These chapters improve chapter operations using a Program of Activities that emphasize student, chapter and community development. Quality standards have been developed in each as minimum requirements for recognition in the National Chapter Award program. The FFA mission and strategies should be used as a guide in planning, implementing and assessing accomplishments.
The three divisions and their purposes are as follows:
- The student development division is designed to encourage the chapter to develop the individual and cooperative activities that will enhance students' life skills.
- The chapter development division is designed to encourage the FFA chapter to provide opportunities and services to its members, such as promoting increased member participation, financial responsibility, a positive image, interactions with support groups and cooperation through organized activities.
- The community development division is designed to encourage the local development of FFA partnerships with other groups and organizations while taking a leadership role to make the community a better place to live and work.
Using state, national and international activities, a chpater and its members can serve as catalysts to improve the community's economic, environmental and human resources.
